Me, Myself and trIpod. (Stupid Pun)

These are a few photos that I took my in 2009 during exam week, this is how I spent my time. I don't know where the inspiration came from but the method I used is one that I want to explore more in my photography to add interest and meaning.

This one was taken at least 10 times before I got one that I enjoyed, it had an ISO of 100 with an f stop of 5. The most important piece of this picture was the shutter speed which was at 20 seconds. Because of the long shutter speed it was difficult to get the results I wanted and I needed a lot of patience to get one good image. The idea was just to show that there are two sides to me, and both make up my whole self.

Family Portrait

This one is named The Child Inside because it is similar to the other one although the idea is slightly different, I made this one to show how sometimes we have to be serious but at the same time we are all still children. This one had an ISO of 100, an f stop of 5 with a shutter speed of 30 seconds. This image was particularly hard to create because I had to sit still for about 13 seconds in one position, then throw the book and paper away and grab the coloring book and crayons while trying to get set and hold still for another 13 seconds. This one took about 10 tries to do, and is my favorite self portrait.
